Along the way you’ll run along remote rocky coastlines, along cliff tops and down hidden beaches, mountain bike along rolling single track and through private farmland, paddle along a spectacular coastline and road cycle through quiet Waihi farm country.

Formerly the Anaconda Adventure Race Waihi, The Nugget is in its second year in the Multisport calendar and brings you all that is great about being outdoors and active, and rolls it into an event that everyone can be part of.

After making such a successful entrance last year, the Half Nugget duathlon will be back again this year as will the Full Nugget multisport race, a 21km adventure run and the 10km or 5km runs … we really do have something for everyone!

Combine this with a kids event the next day, sponsors stands, race commentary, event bar and food all based at the event arena alongside the Cornish Pumphouse at the Martha Mine in Waihi township and you’re set for an awesome weekend.
